Job Description
Extra Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner, for one of our clients based in Oldbury. As a Transport Planner, your role with revolve around helping manage our client’s fleet of vehicles, varying from vans to articulated lorries, delivering a variety of building materials to locations across the UK.
Transport Planner Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for a team of drivers and Vans including HGV's
To ensure all vehicle walkaround and defects are being completed
Liaise with our sales and accounts teams for any delivery or POD enquiries
Plan and route all daily and next day vehicles
Be the point of contact for all drivers on any delivery query
Debrief drivers after route and reconcile any paperwork and Transport Planner Details:
Location: Oldbury
Salary: Up to £35,000 PA
Schedule: 09:00 AM - 18:00 PM
Transport Planner Requirements:
Prior experience in a Transport planning role or within the transport industry
Experience operating the following software: MaxOptra, Nav, and Business Central
Good knowledge of UK geography
Proactive approach
