Legal Cashier
Are you an experienced Legal Cashier or Credit Controller looking for your next opportunity? We are working with a well-established law firm that prides itself on its welcoming, family-feel culture. They are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Cashier to join their small but dynamic finance team.
The Role: As a Legal Cashier/Credit Controller, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and play a key role in managing financial records, handling transactions, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in legal finance who is confident working independently and collaboratively within a friendly team.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing Office and Client Cashbooks
Processing online banking transactions, allocating received funds, and handling payments securely
Entering all financial, matter-related transactions on the LEAP system
Assisting fee earners and support staff with finance-based queries
Overseeing invoicing, issuing credit notes, and managing banking activities
Ensuring compliance with Anti Money Laundering regulations and Solicitors Accounts Rules
Liaising with clients, law firms, and businesses regarding financial queries
Preparing reports on outstanding matter balances and aged debtWhat We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a financial role, ideally within a legal or professional services environment
Proficiency in online banking and financial management systems, particularly LEAP
Strong knowledge of credit control processes and financial compliance
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
