Role: Learning Mentor - Year 6 Student Rate: £83.33-£90.00 Location: Widnes School Type: Primary Start Date: ASAP End Date: July 2025 Position Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Placement Tradewind is currently recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Widnes to work on a 1:1 basis with a Y6 male student. We are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching assistant/Learning Mentor that can deal with challenging behaviours, significant SEMH needs, deliver specific behaviour modification interventions & provide a nurture based alternative curriculum, alongside some other bespoke providers. The role is very rewarding and based on strong relationship building. This position starts 6th January 2025 and can lead into a long-term placement for the right person. The ideal Teaching Assistant will have: Previous experience working with children with SEMH or SEN (essential) Strong knowledge surrounding behavioural challenges (essential) Experience supporting students one-to-one (desirable) Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification or equivalent (desirable)The Essentials: Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service, or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure (cost of DBS is refunded after working 20 days) A full, 10-year career history and be able to provide a minimum of 2 references Legal right to work in the UK A minimum of 2 professional references including one from your most recent employerTradewind is renowned for offering top rates of pay, more CPD than any other agency, a great referral bonus, and termly networking & social events.
