Job Description

Role: Lead Software Engineer Location: Remote, full-time contract - office based in Southwest Competitive contract (Inside IR35) Due to the nature of the business, applicants must be British citizens, citizens of the Irish Republic, a Commonwealth state or EEA nations AND eligible for SC clearance. Experis have partnered with a leading UK defence client who are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to oversee a team's software engineering activities. The focus of this role is to offer support and continue to improve a key revenue generating application. Daily Roles: Ensure the technical delivery is carried out by leading on the software engineering activities. Lead the technical direction Identify areas for improvement that could impact the team's ability to deliver. Ensure technical responsibilities are coordinated between an external 3rd party and internal teams. Provide BAU support to a fundamental application Help to coordinate technical support Key Skills: Experience leading software engineering activities within a wider delivery team. C# .NET Framework .NET 6/7/8+ Experience working in Azure Experience of creating and upholding delivery pipelines. Experience of working with external stakeholders Experience in mentoring, supporting & developing software engineers to build capability Desirable skills: Azure App Services Azure Event Grid Azure Functions Azure Web Apps Knowledge of Azure Security best practices and tools Azure DevOps yml pipelines Terraform JavaScript SQL Server Fundamentals of software testing with a bias for automation Swagger/OpenAPI Observability Angular How to apply?
