Job Description

Land Freight Operator – Manchester Due to increased global growth, we are seeking a Land Freight Operator to join our dynamic Land Freight Team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced logistics environment, overseeing the daily operations of Land (North) import/export accounts. 📍 Location: Manchester ⏰ Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:30 (1-hour unpaid lunch) + occasional Saturday hours 💰 Salary: £26,500 - £29,000 per annum (depending on experience) Key Responsibilities: ✅ Assist the Operations Supervisor in delivering efficient freight operations ✅ Manage import/export documentation and ensure timely invoicing ✅ Maintain strong customer relationships and handle client audits ✅ Oversee financial, legal, and operational transactions ✅ Ensure best value procurement and workflow improvements ✅ Provide holiday and sickness cover as required What We’re Looking For: ✔ Previous experience in Land Freight or road freight operations (1+ year preferred) ✔ Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask ✔ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal ✔ IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, CRM systems) ✔ High attention to detail and analytical skills Company Benefits: 🎉 20 days annual leave + public holidays + loyalty holidays 💰 Enhanced pension contributions after one year 🏥 Private medical scheme eligibility after one year ⚰ Death in Service cover (3x annual salary) 🎁 Employee discounts, wellness perks, and confidential EAP support 🎉 One Milestone Day per year to take as you wish Join a global company with a strong heritage, family values, and a commitment to excellence in logistics.
