KS2 TA About the Role: Teach Now is offering an exciting opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Islington. In this full-time, long-term role, you'll support Key Stage 2 students with a focus on booster sessions, interventions, and tailored support for SEN pupils. Working closely with the class teacher, you'll assist with classroom activities, lead small group interventions, and help develop students' academic skills, boosting their confidence and ensuring all children, including those with SEN, have the opportunity to succeed. Key Responsibilities: KS2 Teaching Assistant • Assist in delivering booster sessions and interventions tailored to meet individual students' needs. • Support students with Special Educational Needs, ensuring they are included and engaged in classroom activities. • Foster a positive and encouraging classroom environment, promoting student well-being and confidence. • Help manage classroom behavior and assist with administrative tasks related to pupil progress.• Work closely with the class teacher to monitor student progress and provide feedback. Application Requirements: KS2 Teaching Assistant: • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, ideally within Key Stage 2. • Experience or understanding of supporting students with SEN (Special Educational Needs) is highly desirable. • A proactive, patient, and compassionate approach to working with children .• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
