Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Fitter to join our team on a long-term temporary basis. You will be working on council properties, fitting kitchens as part of a larger kitchen and bathroom refurbishment program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen installations, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Install kitchen units, worktops, sinks, and appliances in council properties.
Carry out associated carpentry, plumbing, and minor tiling work.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations.
Work efficiently to complete jobs on schedule while maintaining quality.
Liaise with tenants and site managers to ensure smooth project delivery.
Identify and report any issues that may affect the installation process.
Requirements:
Proven experience in kitchen fitting, preferably in a social housing or council property setting.
Own van and tools (essential).
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry/Joinery (desirable but not essential).
CSCS card (preferred).
Basic plumbing and tiling skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
