Junior Merchandiser Responsibilities: Strategic Ownership: Review previous seasons, conduct SWOT analysis, and use data to inform your strategy. Work closely with the Merchandiser and Buyer to create and present the category plan that aligns with business objectives. Category Management: Build product mixes using historical data, SWOT analysis, and strategic plans. Ensure your buys are in line with the plan, adjusting stock seasonality to match trading conditions. Collaborative Trading: Partner with the Buyer to react to performance, propose actions to recover risk, and drive new opportunities. Attend key selection meetings to align your category with the latest trends and market demands. Operational Excellence: Oversee weekly trading performance, ensuring KPIs are met and taking action where needed. Manage OTBs, markdown proposals, and stock intake across both seasonal and line levels. Global Trading Influence: Contribute to decisions that affect stores globally, ensuring each location has the optimum amount of stock. Manage store option plans, ensuring perfect execution across all locations.
