Job Description
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a well-known surfacing contractor who are looking for a junior estimator to join their team. This business has a turnover of £30m and is a side-arm of a £70m turnover RC Frame / Groundworks business.
This is a great opportunity for a young, hungry individual who wants to get their foot in the door with a well-established construction firm. The Directors of the business will invest time and effort into the chosen indvidual to help them progress their skill-set and career as much as they possibly can.
Responsibilities:
* Assist senior members of staff in analysing tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare cost estimates.
* Stay up-to-date with market trends, materials, and supplier pricing.
* Analysis of risk and opportunity
* Attend regular tender review meetings
What you need:
* Ideally degree quailfied but not essential
* Motivated personality
* Strong communication skills and ability to be client facing
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.); experience with estimating software is a plusBefore You Apply
