Junior Engineer
Salary: Up to £29,000
Location: Whitstable
Hours: Full-Time; 37.5 Hours per week
Week One: 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday
Week Two: 2pm to 10:30pm Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 7:30pm

This role is open for Trainees that are looking to expand their skillset further.
Junior Engineer Tasks:
Carry out electroplating and metal finishing of components
Follow the production plan and maintain accurate quality records.
Identify and implement the correct method of jigging for a range of parts
Safely handle chemicals in accordance with procedures within the plating department.
Utilize x-ray spectrometer and other quality monitoring equipment to measure plating thickness and conduct visual inspections
Understand and comply with departmental and company health and safety rules and procedures.
Junior Engineer Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
Qualifications: GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, Grade C or above.
Experience: Proven manufacturing experience; experience working within a team.
Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and understand drawings, manufacturing instructions, process instructions, and specifications.
Skills and Competencies:
Very high attention to detail and accuracy.
Safety conscious.
Excellent communication skills.
Willingness to learn new skills.
Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining quality.Desirable:
Experience: Previous electroplating experience or relevant knowledge.
