Job Description
Our client are a leading food producer who supply a range of products to some of the largest retailers across the UK. Based at their production site in Craigavon, we are recruiting a Junior Engineer who will support the engineering department and play an active role in projects.
Monday to Friday hours 8am - 4.30pm with a competitive salary £30-35k range.
The engineering maintenance department provides preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, facilities and project work to the wider business. Great opportunity for the right person to apply their skills getting involved in projects in a production FMCG setting.
The Role:
Collect daily site utility meter readings, log and analyse data, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders
Compile and analyse departmental KPIs on a weekly basis
Purchase parts using Dynamics 365 as required
Process new parts by creating items in Dynamics 365, generating Kanban cards and managing storage
Prepare drawings using AutoCAD as necessary
Work on small-scale engineering projects
Conduct monthly AHU checks
Perform toolbox checks for audit compliance
Ensure adherence to Health & Safety and Food Safety policies
Carry out any other reasonable duties as required
What we are looking for:
Engineering qualification Level 3 + or relevant experience
Working knowledge of AutoCAD software
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Knowledge of engineering components
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong sense of urgency and cost-consciousness
Good attention to detail
Good communication skills
