CAD Draughtsman
Commercial Shopfront, Curtain Walling & Glazing
Salary: £20,000 - £35,000/annum depending on experience and industry knowledge.
Job type: Permanent
Office Location: Dartford Kent
Holidays: 20 days plus bank holiday's
Working Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday
We are a Dartford based shopfront and structural glazing contractor established over 35 years, we are seeking an enthusiastic, technically minded person to work within our office alongside our current experienced members of staff within our CAD design department.
Key Responsibilites
As a Junior CAD designer, under guidance, you will be responsible for designing our shop fronts, entrances and curtain walling on our AutoCAD system, to the specification required of our client. You will take a project from the initial survey, to a completed drawing for approval by our client.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key Skills
1. Work independently under your own initiative and as part of a team with our Projects department.
2. Excellent communication skills, liaising with clients by phone and emails.
3. Working to deadlines.
4. Problem solving abilities with a keen eye for design.
5. Be honest and reliable.
6. Excellent PC skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
7. A good team player.
8. Organised and efficient
9. Strong CAD knowledge (we use AutoCAD)
Experience
The successful candidate will have some experience in our field of glazing and shopfront framing and curtain walling, although you will be trained. They can demonstrate they have CAD experience and at least a basic knowledge of structural requirements within the construction industryBefore You Apply
