Job Description
We are currently looking for an Estimator to join a well-established regional contractor working on residential and commercial joinery installation packages in the London and South East area.
The company are based in Essex and have been operating for over 15 years. They have grown steadily over the last few years and are looking to expand their commercial team.
The company undertake joinery manufacture and install packages.
They work across various sector including; office fit out, high end residential, hotels, heritage and educational amongst other areas. They have a well-established client base across London and the South East.
The business has a friendly and welcoming environment and they have a strong growth plan in place for the foreseeable future.
The Role:
Working with the Commercial Manager to ensure successful delivery of projects
Undertaking costing analysis, take-offs and procurement schedules
Monthly reporting
Applications for payment
Identifying and negotiating variations
Material requisitions to the Buying department
Attend meetings with clients and colleagues
Approve Sub-Contractor valuations
Final Account agreementsThe Candidate:
Proven record in tendering for the joinery industry
Wider knowledge of the fit-out industry
Familiar with site visits and client facing activity
Excellent analytical skills are essential, as are numeracy, literacy and communication skills in English
Computer literacy in MS Office, ProjectPoints of Appeal:
Autonomy in the role with prospects of progression to a more senior position in the company’s commercial team
Established contractor with a long pipeline of work and large varied client base
