My client who are a high end bespoke kitchen/joinery manufacturer specialising in high end residential market are recruiting for a technical designer.
About
My client are A fourth-generation design company operating out of London, Vienna and New York. They manufacture unique custom-made kitchens, furniture, and lifestyle products. With a passion for excellence in craft and design, they are setting a new standard for contemporary luxury.
My client are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and well-organized Technical Designer to join the team in London.
Role responsibilities
On a daily basis you will be working on luxury bespoke kitchen and joinery projects, creating production drawings, preparing manufacturing drawings, as well as installation drawings. You will be working in a team together with the Project Manager and Design Coordinator.
Personal skills
• Capacity to work well in a multi-disciplinary team and a desire to facilitate the success of those around you
• A pro-active approach to communication, problem solving and task completion
• Ability to personally develop, improve and thrive with constructive feedback
• Excellent written and verbal communication
Technical skills
• Experience and understanding of modern furniture construction techniques with a joinery background in bespoke cabinet making
• Sharp attention to detail – “How am I going to design this cabinet if I have to make it?”
• Strong knowledge of material properties and design skills
• Excellent skills in AutoCAD (2D, 3D)
