The role involves fitout and joinery work on marine vessels and will support our client through a peak of work, initially until the end of March.
Suitable candidates will be Apprenticeship or SVQ Level 3 qualified.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out fitout joinery work
Interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Ensuring all work meets high-quality standards and safety regulations
Repairing and maintaining wooden structures
Collaborating with other trades to ensure seamless project delivery
Utilising a variety of tools to cut, shape, and install wood materials
Performing precise measurements and cutting to fit installations
Adhering to project timelines and deadlines
Job Requirements:
Experience in fit out joinery, particularly within the marine or commercial sectors
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings
Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and tools
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Understanding of health and safety standards related to joinery and marine environments
Rates and hours
PAYE Only
Standard 37 hours - £17.07/h plus £2.06/h holiday pay
Overtime after 37 hours - £23.90/h plus £2.88/h holiday pay
Holiday pay can be accrued or advanced
Initial contract running until the end of March
