Salary: Competitive, based on experience up to £35ph
Job Type: Part-time (3 hours per week)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Tutor to provide 1:1 support to a Year 12 student in West Croydon. This is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional with teaching experience to make a significant impact on a student's academic journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored IT tuition to a Year 12 student, focusing on their specific needs and areas of improvement.
Deliver engaging lessons in areas such as computer science, coding, digital literacy, and IT theory, according to the student's curriculum.
Support the student with exam preparation and coursework, helping them develop a strong understanding of key concepts.
Monitor the student's progress and provide regular feedback to ensure continued development.
Adapt teaching methods to suit the student's learning style and pace, fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.Requirements:
A recognised teaching qualification or equivalent (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) and/or relevant IT qualifications.
Proven experience in teaching or tutoring IT at Key Stage 5 (A-Level) or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of IT and computer science curriculum content, including coding languages, digital systems, and networks.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for helping students succeed.
A clear enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
