Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced IT Manager, or an IT Engineer looking to make the step up, for our client in Suffolk. The position does require the successful candidate to be on site 5 days a week. The Role As the IT Manager, you’ll oversee the operation of the IT systems, leading a small but dedicated team to drive the technology in line with strategic objectives. The role is hands on managing infrastructure, systems and cyber security measures, and would enable you to shape the future of IT moving forward. What You’ll Be Doing: * Leading, motivating, and developing an IT team to deliver exceptional support and technology improvement. * Managing IT infrastructure, including Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, Hyper-V, Azure, Active Directory, and networking technologies. * Ensuring robust disaster recovery and cyber security protocols. * Managing budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships to optimise value. * Driving IT projects and contributing to strategic technology development. * Providing hands-on technical support and expertise to users. About You * Experience in managing IT systems and leading teams (or the ambition to step into management). * A strong grasp of key technologies: Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, networking, and cyber security. * The ability to manage budgets and negotiate with suppliers. * Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. * Certifications like MCSE, MCSA, or equivalent experience (desirable but not essential). The role is broad and varied, and would suit someone looking to work in an environment where they have a real influence on the overall technology strategy and delivery.
