Job Description

We are supporting a company based in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex with recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer within a contract position, with a daily rate of £150-£220. Long term this position with be hybrid (mainly fully remote) but will initially require you to complete in person onboarding at the office. You will also need to be local due to the occasional need to visit the server room. Duties will include but not be limited to: SQL Server Backups and Maintenance Investigating issues relating to performance and stability of ITAS software Maintenance of Windows VMs in Hyper V, Azure and AWS Maintenance of Microsoft Enterprise software including SQL Server, Hyper V, IIS and Remote Desktop Services Monitoring and alerting systems using PowerShell, Rest APIs, Datadog Troubleshooting permissions of internal user accounts across On Premises Active Directory, Entra ID, and SQL Server Logins and Roles Troubleshoot and resolve customer issuesTo be successful for this position you must have at least 4-5 years of experience with the above duties including knowledge of scripting languages, preferably including PowerShell. You must have strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn. Self-discipline and motivation are key! Ideally you will have a basic knowledge of performance monitoring and working with a ticket management system.
