Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Marston Green, Birmingham
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Applause IT are hiring for an Infrastructure Engineer for a Managed Service Provider based in Marston Green. This role is fully onsite and offers a competitive salary of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum.
The company is a well-established IT services provider focusing on high-security, on-premise solutions. They are known for their meticulous approach to systems integration and network management, supporting a variety of customer-facing and project-based operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage network fundamentals including WAN/LAN/Firewall HLD and LLD documentation.
Administer Microsoft Active Directory, PKI, GPO, and software licensing.
Oversee SQL database management and demonstrate competence in Group Policy, Active Directory, and software deployment.
Specify equipment and software needs while liaising with 3rd parties.
Handle delivery and migration projects, and manage virtual machine (VM) environments.
Supervise WSUS and antivirus management.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and liaise with external partners.
Provide VPN/remote access management, including IKEv2 site-to-site VPNs and Cisco Secure Client remote access VPNs.
Deliver storage and backup solutions in line with security best practices.Required Skills and Experience:
Solid foundation in networking, including storage and backup systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Group Policy, and SQL.
Experience in delivering and migrating complex IT projects.
Familiarity with managing VM environments, WSUS, and antivirus solutions.
Ability to create detailed HLD and LLD documentation for network infrastructures.
Strong background in working on projects and within multi-discipline teams.
SC clearance or willingness to undergo security clearance is essential.Benefits:
