Job Description

Infrastructure Engineer (Proxmox) * Southampton, Hampshire (Onsite working) * Two month contract * Market Rates The Opportunity: We are currently looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer (Blades/R&S/Proxmox) to assist our client with the building the infrastructure required for testing their Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) system. The test environment will have to support scalability, virtualisation and automation testing, and will involve the configuration and deployment a 16-blade server system, a Cisco switch and a Cisco router while managing over 400+ Windows 7 and Windows 10 virtual machines with specialized software. Skills and Experience: * Expertise in Proxmox cluster virtualization and able to diagnose and resolve Proxmox cluster, networking and VM-related issues * Extensive knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10 virtual machine deployment * An understanding of automation of VM deployment with the ability to write automation test scripts * Networking knowledge across Cisco routers and switches, VLAN configuration and routing Role and Responsibilities: * Configure and deploy Cisco switch and Cisco router for internal routing/VLANS * Implement VLANs, subnetting, and routing for virtual machines and physical infrastructure * Set up and manage a Proxmox cluster across a 16-blade server system * Develop automation scripts for VM creation and deployment using automation software or scripts * Create detailed documentation on Proxmox cluster setup, VM deployment automation, VLAN configurations, and network routing Please call James here at ISR to learn more about our client leading the way in developing the next-generation of transport mobility through innovation and transformational technology?
