Job Description

The Company: An exciting opportunity for an Import Merchandiser to join a growing team in a well-established company selling in-house brands and white label to UK and International customers. Specialising in the design, manufacture and import of Men’s, Ladies & Juniors apparel for retailers, e-commerce and independently owned stores. The role is very hands on looking after the full product lifecycle and managing the critical path. The Role: * Working with large retail customers on contract orders for men’s and ladies’ fashion – some childrenswear. * Raise, manage and track purchase orders. * Create and manage the Critical Path to ensure agreed delivery dates are maintained. * Critical Path meetings with factories and customers weekly * Liaising with suppliers and buyers on a daily basis, ensuring samples, lab dips etc. are received, sent and approved according to CP. * Advising and approving all labelling / packaging information * Provide approval comments on all components. * Advising factory of customer requirements for packaging, packing, testing etc. and ensuring these are followed * Liaise with technical department to prioritise sample approvals * Attend fit meetings with technical and design department * Highlight any problems or delays efficiently * Check and approve shipment bookings and documents Skills Required: * MUST have at least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role working for an Importer. * Experience working with retailers & liaising with Buyers. * Excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills. * Fully computer literate with strong Excel and Word skills. * Highly organised, efficient and can work to tight deadlines, within a fast-paced environment. * Able to follow a critical path – strong accuracy and attention to detail. * Must be proactive, able to use initiative. *By submitting your CV, you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions as stated on our website and consenting to us processing your personal details in relation to current/future job opportunities.
