Working Hours: Monday - Friday, Day Shift
Salary: £40,000 per annum

A leader in the crane and lifting equipment industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Import & Export Controller to join our procurement team. Job Summary:
As an Import & Export Controller, you will manage the end-to-end supply chain process, coordinating imports and exports to ensure timely deliveries for our clients. You will work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Management: Oversee the entire supply chain, ensuring timely import and export processes
Shipment Expediting: Coordinate worldwide shipments and work with freight forwarders to ensure prompt collection and delivery
Import Clearance: Handle import clearance for all non-EU imports, raise clearance documents, and liaise with freight forwarders
Procurement: Raise RFQs and purchase orders to meet customer sales orders
Stock Management: Receive goods and services into SAP for parts and consumables
Reporting: Generate and review customer back-order reports and communicate with the sales team regarding shipment delays and urgent delivery costs
Problem Solving: Assist in resolving missing or damaged (M&D) items and provide part identification and replacement costs
Data Maintenance: Maintain accurate import data files and ensure the integrity of the import process
Team Support: Assist the stores department as neededQualifications and Experience:
Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in import/export operations, preferably within a manufacturing, engineering, or technical environment
Procurement Expertise: Demonstrable experience managing the full procurement life cycle
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Technical Skills: Proficient in administrative tasks, with high attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
CIPS Qualification: Highly desirable
SAP Knowledge: Desirable but not essential
