HVAC Installation/Service Engineer
Location: Watford
Salary: £17-£25 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Permanent contract
Nicholas Associates are proud to be working on behalf of our client, a forward-thinking and progressive company within the HVAC industry. We are currently seeking an experienced HVAC Installation/Service Engineer to join their growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a prestigious customer base across a wide range of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, telecoms, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and maintain a variety of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, including split systems, multi-split systems, and VRV/VRF systems
Effectively diagnose faults and failures with equipment, providing timely and efficient solutions
Perform routine planned preventative maintenance
Ensure all necessary documentation related to maintenance works is accurately completed and coordinated
Liaise with domestic and commercial clients to maintain positive relationships and deliver excellent service
Adhere to health & safety regulations and client-specific site requirements at all times
Participate in an on-call rota to provide 24/7 support
Carry out risk assessments and ensure a safe working environment for both colleagues and clients
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide updates as requiredWho We're Looking For:
Minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, with F-Gas/EN 378 compliance
Proven experience with VRV/VRF systems, coldrooms, chilled water systems, and close control systems
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
Electrical competence, including the ability to read wiring schematics and test control circuits (desirable)
A "can-do" attitude with the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
Willingness to work away from home and be flexible with working hours, including night work if needed
Full driving licence and the ability to obtain a DBS certificateWhat You'll Get in Return:
