Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Plumbing and HVAC Specialist
Location: Battersea
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000
The Role:
Mainstay Recruitment are working with our client a large Facilities Management company to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineer. This role involves planned and reactive maintenance of commercial plumbing and HVAC systems with an education setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting commercial plumbing and HVAC systems.
Performing routine and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and safety compliance.
Resolving technical issues with HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, and plumbing infrastructure.
Working closely with facilities teams and contractors to implement repairs and upgrades.
Conducting risk assessments and adhering to all safety and compliance standards.
Keeping comprehensive records of maintenance tasks, including schedules and logs.
Qualifications and Experience
Level 2 or 3 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating.
F-Gas Certification for refrigerant handling (Category 1 preferred).
C&G 2079 Refrigerant Handling Qualification or equivalent.
At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in commercial plumbing and HVAC systems.
Experience in building maintenance, especially in institutional settings like colleges or schools.
Strong problem-solving ability and the capability to work independently.
Excellent communication for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.How to Apply:
