HV Transformer Installation Supervisor
Location: Hybrid, with 2-3 days in Midlands
£75k + Salary Packages
Projects: Renewable energy, infrastructure.Turner Lovell are recruiting for a fast growing international EPC contractor who have a strong pipeline of renewable energy, electricity and offshore wind projects across the UK and Europe.
Position: HV Transformer Installation Supervisor
The HV Transformer Installation Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of high-voltage power transformers at various project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Review tender documentation and project requirements.
Participate in buildability reviews to ensure project feasibility.
Conduct site surveys to assess installation feasibility and identify potential challenges.
Promote and ensure safe working practices and continuous improvement in site safety.
Oversee transformer installation, testing, and commissioning at project sites, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards.
Collaborate with project teams, installation contractors, and internal teams to ensure clarity of scope and project timelines.
Lead discussions with contractors to ensure timely delivery to site.
Review and confirm quality documentation including RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements), ITPs (Inspection Test Plans), and CCTs (Critical Component Testing).
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress logs and as-built drawings.
Prepare and issue site test documentation (e.g., RAMS, NCRs, TQs) in accordance with approved procedures.
Provide training and guidance to on-site personnel to ensure a skilled workforce.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
Full, clean UK driving license.
Previous experience as a site supervisor in power transformer installation, service, and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of high-voltage power transformer installation, testing, and commissioning processes.
Experience working with UK and European TSOs and occupiers.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
