HR Manager/ HRBP
Our client, an independent education provider in Oxford, is looking for a new HR Manager with strong HR business partnering experience to join their HR team, and provide day-to-day HR support across all HR and ER matters as the main point of contact for employees. This is a full-time, permanent role.
The role will involve on site working across Oxford at multiple teaching sites. There is one HR Officer to manage.
HR Manager/ HRBP Responsibilities
This HR Manager/ HRBP role will be busy and varied and will include but not be limited to:
Supervising one HR Officer and ensuring all statutory employment legislations and processes are adhered to
Reviewing and updating policies and procedures and driving values and culture
Supporting Leaders with their staffing plans and performance management
Overseeing onboarding of new staff, ensuring necessary checks and paperwork are completed in an accurate and timely manner and maintaining accurate HR files
Supporting Managers with recruitment, selection and induction processes
Ensuring the accuracy of the monthly payroll, working with the HR Officer, Principal and the finance team and providing guidance to employees on pension and payroll matters
Working with Leadership on employee relations and offering business partnering expertise and guidance on the people plan

HR Manager/ HRBP Experience
To be successful in this role you will be an honest and organised HR professional with integrity and solid generalist HR experience, coordinating all key elements of the people activity across an organisation or school/ college. You will be CIPD qualified (or equivalent HR qualification) and be an experienced HR Business Partner, with a proven track record of guiding, advising and supporting employees and especially building employee engagement. You will be proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic about rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in. You will have prior experience of managing a small team and working with ambiguity. You will enjoy being on site and out and about, interacting with and supporting academic, support and boarding staff to provide a seamless HR service for all employees. You will be confident and knowledgeable in the latest UK employment law updates and have experience of leading ER cases and advising and training Line Managers as needed.
Location
This is a full-time role with mostly office-based working with a minimum of 3 days a week onsite - essential. This role is based between various teaching sites in Oxford and so you must be prepared to work from different locations in central Oxford. There is no car parking available but easily accessible via public transport (one location is near the train station and the other near bus stops).
You must have the full right to work in the UK as sponsorship is not available for this position.
This is an urgent requirement and so long notice periods cannot be considered.
