About Us: We are a well-established manufacturer based in Leicestershire, operational for 35 years. We are of an international group and has a unique position in the value chain with its in-house extrusion facilities Europe and the United Kingdom. Our manufacturing sites employ a team of 150 staff, predominantly operational and based onsite, with additional support from a small sales and management team. As we continue to grow and shape our future as a more standalone UK business, we are seeking a proactive HR Manager to lead our human resource function. About the Role: As our HR Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our workforce and promoting our inclusive culture. You'll be an active member of the Senior Leadership team. Key Responsibilities: * Employee Well-being: Ensure prudent use of Occupational Health services. Working with Managers to manage long term sickness absence and potential return-to-work plans. Promote regular wellbeing campaigns. * Company Culture: Champion alongside the senior leadership team to foster an employee-oriented culture emphasizing quality, continuous improvement, and high performance. * HR Strategies: Develop with the senior leadership team and implement strategies aligned with our business goals. * Recruitment & Selection: Work with managers and leading the recruitment process, arrange interviews, diary management, maintain KPIs on turnover and cost per hire. Agreeing with managers the requirements for their vacancies, contacting agencies and advertising on Indeed. * HR Systems: Working with the Payroll and HR Advisor to implement a new HR System. Maintaining accurate HR records on Excel in preparation for migration to a cloud-based system. Also ensuring that all policies are reviewed and up to date and procedures are understood and followed across the business. * Benefits Program: Reviewing the company benefits on an annual basis with the third-party broker. Ensure that employees are aware of the benefits available to them, maintain and update the benefits program where necessary. * Training & Development: Working with managers to understand their teams training needs, arranging for training to take place, raising purchase orders etc. Working with senior leadership team on driving the leadership development program across all levels of management. * Legal Compliance: Ensure legal and GDPR compliance in HR practices. * Onboarding: Working with manager to arrange and plan new employee onboarding. Arrange induction plans and welcome 121’s. * Offboarding: Working with managers to agree leaving dates for employees. Arranging exit interviews and providing written confirmation of leaving date and business requirements. * Work Environment: Working with the senior leadership team and manager to nurture a positive working environment. Being visible on the shopfloor making regular people connections (shopfloor, managers and office). Responsible for arranging business events such as long service awards, quarterly townhall sessions and business celebration events etc * Payroll: Oversee the payroll function (one direct report). * Operations Meetings: Attend the daily morning operations meeting, arrange monthly 121’s with managers to review the needs of the teams. The candidate: This role would suit a candidate with prior experience in the manufacturing or engineering sectors.
