Job Description
My Local Authority client based in the South West is looking for a Housing Options Officer on a 6 month basis.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and advise on housing solution options for clients relating to homelessness prevention, housing options, tenure rights and security of tenure ensuring quality service is provided
Ensure the accurate collection and organisation of details of all clients including financial statements and verification checks as well as applications, assessments, decisions and outcomes
Key Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of relevant legislation; Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Act 2002, Suitability Order 2012, Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and Tenant and Landlord law
Data Protection Regulations
Ability to work as both part of a team and independently
Experience of working with the public and vulnerable applicants (preference given to those who have worked in a housing association, local authority housing department or something similar)
Location: South West
Pay: Negotiable
Contract: 6 Months
