GSL Education are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging History Teacher to join a welcoming school in Spilsby. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a committed humanities department and help students connect with the events, people and ideas that have shaped our world.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for planning and delivering dynamic lessons, with a focus on encouraging analytical thinking, historical enquiry, and a love for the subject.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and challenging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Inspire students to develop curiosity, critical thinking and a deeper understanding of historical events and contexts.
Assess student work regularly, providing feedback to support individual progress.
Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes high standards.
Participate in departmental and whole-school development initiatives.
Requirements of History Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
A degree in History or a related subject.
Sound subject knowledge and an enthusiasm for teaching history.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A commitment to inclusive education and student development.
A full CV with a 10-year history (with gaps explained).
An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
