Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who can commute to an SEN School near Leatherhead, Surrey? We are looking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who has experience supporting and educating young learners with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) and/or Autism.
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) responsibilities:
The purpose of the Higher Level Teaching Assistant is to support the Class teacher with all elements of the day to day running of the class and to teach whole classes, groups and individual lessons in consultation with the Class Teacher regularly across a range of classes.
To lead in the absence of any Class Teachers across the school.
Take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils according to the school’s policies, including safeguarding and prevent.
Provide meaningful feedback on pupil behaviour, relationships and attitudes.
Monitor pupil's conduct and behaviour throughout the learning process and intervene to resolve highly complex, difficult or very challenging issues and keep records of incidents, health, behaviour
Work with pupils on therapy or care programmes, designed and supervised by a therapist/care professional.
Commute to SEN School in a rural location near Leatherhead, Surrey
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) requirements:
The Higher Level Teaching Assistant Diploma or equivalent Level 4 qualification or demonstrate equivalent skill level.
GCSE pass above C (or 4 in the new GCSE system) in English and Maths
Relevant knowledge or experience of SEN, SEMH and/or ASD
Commute to SEN School in a rural location near Leatherhead, Surrey
Eligibility to work within the UK
Available Mon-Thurs 08:15 - 16:45 Fri 08:15 - 16:00
