Job Description
Our client is a leading provider of apprenticeship training, committed to helping individuals gain the skills and qualifications they need to succeed in their chosen careers. Their apprenticeship programs offer hands-on experience in a variety of fields, and they are now seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Coach to join their team.
The Role:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Coach, you will play a crucial role in guiding and mentoring apprentices working towards their Level 5 Teaching Assistant qualification.
You will be working remotely with occasional travel within a 50 mile radius of your location.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide Coaching and Support: Guide and mentor apprentices throughout their Teaching Assistant apprenticeship, providing one-on-one support to ensure they are developing the necessary skills for success in the classroom.
* Deliver Training: Lead training sessions and workshops that help apprentices build their knowledge in key areas such as child development, classroom management, and supporting inclusive learning.
* Assess Learners’ Progress: Regularly evaluate apprentices' progress through workplace observations, assignments, and assessments. Provide constructive feedback to help them improve and achieve their qualifications.
* Support with EPA Preparation: Assist apprentices in preparing for their End Point Assessment (EPA) by providing additional guidance, ensuring they understand the requirements, and helping them complete necessary tasks and assessments.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience: Experience in Teaching Assistant Apprenticeships up to Level 5 and teaching assistant qualification (STLS or similar)
* Relevant Qualifications: Hold either a Teaching or Assessing qualification such as TAQA, CAVA, A1, PGCE, PTLLS or equivalent.
