Job Description
Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver
Location: Craigavon, Northern Ireland
Position Type: Temporary to Permanent
We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations, ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining a high standard of driving.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle for the delivery of goods.
Transport goods to various locations within designated delivery routes.
Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in line with health and safety regulations.
Complete pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any issues or delays encountered.
Ensure the secure loading and unloading of cargo.
Adhere to road safety regulations, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws.
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and customers during deliveries.
Report any vehicle malfunctions or incidents to the appropriate manager.
Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle at all times.
Key Requirements:
Valid HGV Class 2 (C) driving license.
Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
A good understanding of road safety and driving regulations.
Previous experience in a similar HGV driving role is preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to manage physical demands, including lifting and loading goods.
A professional attitude with a strong focus on safety and customer service.
