Job Description
HGV Class 2 Driver (Days) Multi Drop
Location – Gloucester GL1
Salary - £16.00 per hour
Shift pattern/days worked – Monday - Friday.
We're looking for qualified and experienced HGV class 2 drivers for regular work on an ongoing Monday to Friday basis, completing day shifts.
The role is HGV Class 2 multi drop palletised goods ensuring customers receive a high level of customer service, happy to do hand balling when needed.
Key tasks:
* Delivering items to customers and collections
* HGV 2 - Multi Drop
* Days 07.00 start times
* Experience required/Personal attributes.
Duties:
* - Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
* - Load and unload palletised goods using appropriate equipment either a electric or manual pump truck
* - Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods
* - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
* - Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
* - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
* - Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries
Requirements:
* - Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) 2 years minimum experience
* - Clean driving record with no major violations
* - Proven experience as a truck driver with multi drop experience of palletised goods
* - Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers
* - Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
* - Strong communication and customer service skills
