Job Description

HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver (Days) Location – Devizes (SN10) Salary: * Monday - Friday £16.00 Paye - £18.50 Ltd PER HOUR * Saturday £17.00 Paye - £20.00 Ltd PER HOUR * Sunday and BH £18.00 Paye - £21.00 Ltd PER HOUR Holiday cover Shift pattern/days worked – 4on 4off We're looking for qualified and experienced HGV class 1 drivers for 4 on 4 off completing day shunting shifts. The role is completing shunting movements between two sites high level of customer service, happy to move cages of and off the trailer. Key tasks: * Shunting trailers of cages between two sites * Fasted place role * Days 06.00 - 18.00 * Safely operate a truck to transport goods between two sites in Devizes * Load and unload cages * Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations * Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption * Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries Requirements: * Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) * Clean driving record with no major violations * Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role * Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers * Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines * Strong communication and customer service skills You will need to complete a induction prior in Shepton Mallet which will take 2 hours.
