Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 1 & 2 Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage routes effectively.
Duties
* Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads as necessary.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete all necessary paperwork.
* Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of oneself and others on the road.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Multi Drop Deliveries
Requirements
* Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
* Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
* A clean driving record is essential; candidates may be required to undergo background checks as part of the hiring process.
Monday - Friday 8am starts. Shifts can be on temp to perm basis, ongoing, or ad hoc depending on your preference.
New passes considered, but must be comfortable and confident operating electric pump truck and tail lift.
