Heating Engineer – District & Communal Systems
Location: London & Surrounding Areas
Salary: £34,400 - £38,000 per annum (DOE) + Overtime + Benefits
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (occasional on-call shifts)
About the Role

Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and repair communal and district heating systems.
* Install and upgrade heating components for improved efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with industry safety regulations.
* Provide clear, professional service to clients and residents.
* Accurately document work using company systems.
* Work collaboratively with contractors and internal teams.
* Troubleshoot faults and recommend long-term solutions.
Requirements
Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 2 or above in plumbing, heating, mechanical services, or HVAC.
* Unvented Hot Water Certification is beneficial.
* ACS Gas qualifications are an advantage.
Experience & Skills:
* At least five years of experience in heating maintenance and repair.
* Strong knowledge of district and communal heating systems.
* Ability to read technical schematics and system designs.
* Experience in commercial and multi-occupancy heating solutions.
* Problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.
* Experience with Heat Interface Units (HIUs) is beneficial.
