Heating Engineer
This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic, growing team in the Renewables and Installation Sector. We require a confident and experienced Heating Engineer to work within our growing company. The works will be mostly residential, predominantly in the South East area. Excellent customer service is the company’s standard.
Experience in the Renewables industry, predominantly GSHP and ASHP, will be a great advantage for this role. The primary function of the job holder as a Heating Engineer will be to ensure that service and breakdown tasks for both our installations and other systems are completed to industry standards and that all relevant Health and Safety and trade regulations are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:
* Service and Maintenance: Perform routine service and maintenance on heating systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
* Breakdown Response: Respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and carrying out repairs to restore heating systems to full functionality.
* Technical Surveys: Conduct technical surveys to plan and cost service and breakdown work effectively. Capture all relevant details and photos to assist in pre-costing the work.
* Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues, solutions, and any necessary follow-up actions. Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service.
* Training and Supervision: Train and supervise team members, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and complete work to current regulations and OHM standards.
* Material Management: Support the ordering of materials needed for service and breakdown tasks, considering cost, quality, and delivery.
* Documentation: Ensure all relevant information regarding service and breakdown jobs, including surveys, daily reports, and photos, is uploaded to the CRM. Complete all required paperwork to a high standard.
* Safety Compliance: Follow all safety policies and practices, completing relevant risk assessments and ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
Qualifications:
* Unvented Qualification - essential
* Gas Level 3 NVQ – preferred
* Qualifications in low temp heating/heat pumps - preferred
