HSE Manager
Location: Halifax
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)
Bonus Scheme: Participation in a performance-based bonus scheme (Profit Before Tax)
Days Monday - Friday
Job Introduction:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HSE Manager to join our team due to retirement. This role is ideal for a professional with extensive expertise in the construction industry who is ready to take on a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Managing Director for all HSE-related matters.
Prepare and review safe systems of work, including risk assessments for both production facilities and on-site operations, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Conduct HSE audits, surveillance inspections, and lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations.
Manage and lead the pre-qualification process with Achilles, Construction Line, and various customer pre-qualification databases.
Oversee the pre-qualification and auditing of subcontractors and suppliers.
Ensure employee training and maintain accurate health and safety records.Required Skills/Experience:
A minimum of IOSH (CMIOSH preferred).
At least 10 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management.
Strong understanding of HSE practices within the construction industry.Working Hours:
Basic: 37.5 hours per week.Benefits:
