Job Description

The Company Our client is a major force with in the North East manufacturing sector. Due to growth, they are now recruiting for a Health, Safety and Environmental Officer initially on a 3-month contract. The Role * Lead the problem-solving aspect of the HSE function within the company. * Delivery and maintenance of the following management system aspects: * Incident reporting. * Fire prevention. * COSHH. * Asbestos management. * Manual handling control. * LOLER (third party inspections, servicing and examinations). * Internal audits. * PUWER (third party inspections, servicing and examinations). * Legionella control. * Continual improvement projects. * Contractor management (safety). * Health and safety inductions. * Health and safety toolbox talks. The Person * Must be a self-starter, capable of actively identifying HSE issues and then working them through to a successful conclusion. * Must be able to manage time and workload. * Experience of environmental, health and safety management in a similar organisation. * Internal auditing experience. * Good understanding of health and safety legal obligations. * Risk Assessment experience. * NEBOSH Certificate minimum. * IOSH Membership (desirable).
