Job Description
Position: Health and Safety Officer
Location: Dublin
Salary: Neg DOE
The Job:
The candidate will be required to support our Project and Contracts Managers in the implementation and control of all Health & Safety elements across all projects. This role is a full-time permanent position and will be based out of our head office/warehouse in Ballycoolin, Dublin 11.
Responsibilities:
* Hold a relevant Qualification
* Have a minimum of 4 years experience on building projects in Ireland or the UK
* Will have previous experience working on construction sites
* Hold a full, clean Driving license
* Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office including strong excel skills
* Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills
Requirements:
* Ensure H&S management systems are implemented and maintained across the site.
* Managing the administration for the Health & Safety induction & training plans for all site personnel.
* Regularly review and assisting the update Company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures and Safety statements.
* Manage training & compliance files for all colleagues & sub-contractors
* Ensure that staff have all the relevant manuals and training certifications
* Review sub-contractors Safety Statements and Safety Compliance.
* Promote a continuous improvement culture in relation to all health, safety, and environmental work practices on the site.
* Conduct site audits safety inspections.
* Generate Tool Box Talks
* Investigate/report accidents and incidents on-site ensuring relevant accident information for insurance purposes
