Head of Temporary Accommodation - South London £600 Per Day (Umbrella) 5 Days a Week ASAP Start INTERIM | 3-6 Months | Replacement Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Temporary Accommodation & Support Services to join a South London local authority on an Interim basis. The Role As Head of Service, you will: Lead the Temporary Accommodation & Support Service, ensuring high-quality housing solutions for residents. Oversee strategic planning and operational management of temporary, emergency, and settled accommodation. Develop long-term sustainable housing strategies to reduce homelessness and improve service delivery. Manage key partnerships with housing providers, contractors, and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and council objectives. Lead and motivate a team to deliver excellent community outcomes. About You - Proven track record in leading temporary accommodation/housing services within a local authority or complex organisation. Strong strategic and operational leadership in homelessness prevention and housing services. Experience managing large budgets and commissioned housing services. Expert knowledge of housing legislation, policy, and best practices. Ability to work at a senior level, managing political and stakeholder relationships effectively.
