We are seeking a committed individual with a specialism in either Biology or Chemistry to lead our vibrant Science Department. The Role:
As Head of Science, you will:
*Lead and manage the Science Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
*Develop and implement a broad and engaging curriculum in line with national standards.
*Inspire and motivate both students and staff to achieve academic excellence.
*Oversee the delivery of Biology or Chemistry, ensuring lessons are engaging and innovative.
*Promote a culture of continuous professional development and education and training within the department.
*Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing strategies for improvement where necessary.
*Work collaboratively with senior leadership to drive whole-school initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate:
*A qualified teacher with QTS and a strong background in Biology or Chemistry.
*Proven leadership experience, either as a Head of Science or in a middle management role.
*A passion for science and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
*Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
*A commitment to high standards in education and training.
*A strategic thinker with a vision for the future of science education.
*Live or reliably commute to Stanmore.
