Job Description
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join this well established Charity as their Head of Finance with the chance to add value to an organisation that provides a essential services and support to the local community.
This is full time position although 4 days a week will be considered.
Based in Surrey, you will report to the Chief Executive and work closely with the senior management team. Ideally you will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified with experience gained within the Charitable sector or perhaps had a hands on role within a commercial company and can offer the technical expertise, passion and vision that our client needs.
This is a varied role and you will oversee all aspects of the day to day finances of the charity, providing the Trustees and Management with high quality financial information.
The main responsibilities are as follows:
Preparing quarterly and year end financial accounts
Managing the finances, including VAT returns, Payroll and the administration of investments and pension arrangements
Carry out periodic risk assessments
Manage all arrangements associated with the annual audit
Ensure the appropriate financial controls are in place and used effectively
The main system used is Sage
This is very much a "hands on" role and suits an experienced Accountant, who enjoys working within a small, but highly motivated team.
Package
A salary guide of £55,000 - £60,000 has been set by Fletcher George as a guide and other benefits include a generous holiday allowance, private healthcare scheme amongst others.
Based in Leatherhead, the role is commutable from Epsom, Dorking, Reigate, Horsham, Guildford and surrounding areas.
