Job Description

Job Title: Head of Finance Business Partnering Location: Swindon Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 Role Purpose Support the CFO in driving the business to meet growth ambitions by leading finance business partnering in operations and growth areas. Coach and develop business partners to embed best practice commercial finance business partnering. Lead the formulation of the 3 year financial plan, annual budget and quarterly forecasts. Own reporting giving insight into the financial performance of the business. Key Accountabilities Lead on commercial decision making for the business, including pricing, costing and business case development. Leading the formulation of the 3 year business plan, budget and forecasts and presenting to the Board and Executive. Accountable for presentation of management accounts and the monthly CFO report P&L summaries to Board and Executive, with supporting commentary and supplementary analysis. Leading the Investment Committee process at the Executive Team level ensuring all investments are supported with a clear business case Attendance at steercos for major projects, ensuring fact based decisions drive incremental profit and value creation Providing leadership to the Finance Business Partners, and Business Reporting Manager; ensuring high standards of support provided to functional teams, with consistency and accuracy and in line with well communicated timetables. Knowledge, Qualifications and Skills Strong commercial business acumen evidenced by successfully driving growth agendas Working in a cross functional environment where decision making progress are embryonic Trusted to advise and business partner peer group (SN Leadership) and above (Board and Executive) Presentation of historical and forward looking financial analysis and information at Board level. Good interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence - being able to effectively consult with CFO, coach & mentor direct reports, influence and engage (peer group, Board and Executive) Lead by exhibiting and living SN values and behaviours Ability to resolve and lead through ambiguous, problematic and complex situations
