A manufacturer of advanced engineered products supplied to a range of sectors as a new vacancy for a Head of Business Development to lead their marine division. Joining at a time of new product launch and market penetration, candidates are sought with a good understand of the global marine sector and will have a proven track record of defining & executing sales strategies and excellent leadership skills. Suitable for: Sales Manager, Sales Director, Business Development Manager, Business Development Director. Key Responsibilities: Define and execute global sales strategy to meet business objectives. Develop customer specific strategies to win market share. Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive revenue growth. Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize project delivery and performance. Monitor competition and identify new trends to stay ahead in the industry. Define global competitor landscape by region where applicable, working with other business functions. Continually assess business operation to implement industry leading practices. Represent sales operations for business planning and performance tracking activities. The Person: A good understanding of the global marine sector. Demonstratable experience in a commercial leadership role. Strong track record of successfully meeting or exceeding business targets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to execute effectively. Highly effective team player. Proven ability to develop high performing teams
