Job Description
Axon Moore are working with an exceptional business based in South Manchester who area looking to recruit a Group Accountant to become an integral member of the Group Finance function.
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, the successful applicant will hold a varied role, taking responsibility for reporting. This role could provide an ambitious candidate with the experience and achievements that could enable them to enhance their career trajectory.
Manage the financial records for head office units, including posting journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and preparing annual statutory accounts.
Assist in the management of both group and individual audits.
Contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts.
Aid in the production of the group’s comprehensive annual report.
Help coordinate the preparation of subsidiary financial statements, ensuring consistency with established reporting templates.
Assist in the integration of newly acquired businesses and handle acquisition accounting as required.
Help develop and maintain corporate accounting policies and procedures.
Provide expertise in UK GAAP and offer guidance to other finance team members on accounting matters.
Draft specialized accounting reports and papers as needed.
Support the upcoming transition to IFRS accounting standards expected in upcoming years.
Process improvement.
The successful Group Accountant will have the following background;
ACA or ACCA Qualified having trained in an accountancy practice.
Possess a high level of people and relationship skills.
A desire to develop a broad skill set beyond statutory accounting and continuously drive improvements as part of a growth journeyBefore You Apply
