Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Person to their team in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will be working alongside the existing groundsman, maintaining the estate's gardens, grounds, and providing animal care, ensuring they are kept to the highest standards. To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials: Previous experience in grounds maintenance or a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with operating groundskeeping equipment and machinery. Basic knowledge of animal husbandry, particularly with horses, chickens, and doves. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid UK driving licence is essential Within this position, you’ll also be: Gardening Duties: Planting, pruning, weeding, and general upkeep of flower beds and shrubs. Maintenance Duties: Performing routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and upkeep of outdoor facilities. Grass Cutting: Operating mowing equipment to maintain lawns and grassed areas. Tree Works: Assisting with tree planting, pruning, and removal as necessary. Animal Care: Daily care and feeding of horses, chickens, and doves, ensuring their habitats are clean and well-maintained.
