Job Description
We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our dynamic team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our outdoor spaces are well-maintained and visually appealing. Key Responsibilities:
Grounds Maintenance: Perform a range of grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, and planting to maintain the overall appearance of outdoor spaces.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers to ensure optimal performance.
Landscape Enhancement: Contribute to the improvement and enhancement of landscapes through planting, mulching, and other landscaping activities.
Routine Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of outdoor areas to identify and address any issues related to plant health, safety hazards, or general maintenance needs.
Seasonal Activities: Assist in seasonal tasks such as snow removal, leaf clearance, and other weather-related activities as required.
Requirements:
Previous experience in grounds maintenance or a related field.
Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
