Graduate Town Planner - Rural Planning Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum My client, a highly regarded planning consultancy, is seeking a Graduate Town Planner to join their rural planning team based in Southend-on-Sea. This exciting opportunity is perfect for recent graduates with a keen interest in rural planning. Successful candidates will benefit from the company's support in funding a part-time RTPI accredited master's degree to help further your career and achieve professional accreditation alongside your role. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of planning applications and reports for rural projects. Support senior planners in the management of rural development projects. Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to deliver planning solutions. Conduct research and assessments to inform planning decisions. Stay updated on planning policies and regulations affecting rural areas. Ideal Candidate: Qualifications: A degree accredited by the RTPI or an undergraduate degree, ideally in geography, with a strong interest in rural planning. Strong academic background from the start. Experience: Some experience in planning, ideally with a focus on rural areas or projects, is highly desirable. Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Benefits: Salary Range: £24,000 - £28,000, depending on experience.
