Job Description
Our clients are looking for an experienced Accountant in the Scottish Borders.
The successful candidate will have experience gained within a professional accounting practice. You will have at least three years' experience in a general practice role, preparing accounts for a variety of clients, ranging from sole traders and partnerships to limited companies. This will include preparing accounts from incomplete records. You will also be familiar with the preparation of Corporation Tax returns and Business Tax computations. Due to the nature of the services on offer, you may also be involved in other duties covering bookkeeping, audit and so on.
You will deal with clients directly, so good communication skills are essential. Clients are drawn from a variety of businesses, including farms, so a knowledge of dealing with agricultural clients would be a considerable advantage.
You will work with minimal supervision, so a confident individual who is focussed on a high level of professional performance and with well-developed administrative skills is required.
